Educational institutions celebrated Kobzar Day
On March 9, educational institutions held events dedicated to Kobzar Day — a day honoring the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist, and thinker Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. This date is an important event for Ukrainian culture and spiritual heritage.
As part of commemorating this memorable date, class meetings (“free hours”) dedicated to the life and work of the Kobzar were held in schools. During the events, students learned about the main stages of Taras Shevchenko’s life path and his contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature and national consciousness.
Special attention was paid to the poet’s literary legacy. Students recited excerpts from Taras Shevchenko’s well-known works and discussed their content and significance for modern society. Poems filled with love for Ukraine and a desire for freedom and justice were heard, which remain relevant today.
Holding such events contributes to the formation of respect for national culture among students, the development of patriotism, and interest in Ukrainian literature. Kobzar Day became another opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of preserving spiritual values and historical memory.
The administrations of educational institutions and teaching staff thank the students for their active participation and conscious attitude toward studying the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
