On September 29, 2026, it will be 160 years since the birth of Mykhailo Hrushevsky — an outstanding Ukrainian historian, scholar, writer, and public figure.
His life was inseparably connected with Ukraine, its history, culture, and struggle for statehood. Hrushevsky became the author of the fundamental work "History of Ukraine-Rus," dedicating years to studying the past of the Ukrainian people.
He also played an important role in Ukrainian state-building in the early 20th century, leading the Ukrainian Central Council. Hrushevsky's legacy still remains an important part of Ukrainian historical memory and national culture today.
